Janice Rutherford Endorsed by Rancho Cucamonga Mayor Pro Tem Lynne B. Kennedy

FONTANA – Lynne B. Kennedy, Mayor Pro Tem of Rancho Cucamonga, has announced her support of Janice Rutherford in Rutherford’s bid for re-election to the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.
When asked about the endorsement, Kennedy stated, “Janice has been a thoughtful and compassionate friend to the people of our city. She reaches out to our youth and neighborhood groups with a listening ear and helps connect us with solutions.”
Supervisor Rutherford’s career with San Bernardino County dates back to her election to the Board in 2010. Prior to this, Rutherford spent 10 years serving on the Fontana City Council. Throughout her 18 years of public service, Rutherford has been active with several local volunteer organizations, including the Rotary Club of Fontana and the Chaffey College Foundation. She is also responsible for instituting the Fontana Community Assistance Program, which has helped provide essential resources to many people in the area.
Supervisor Rutherford has been recognized numerous times for her community service. She has been honored at different times by the California State Assembly, the Inland Empire Hispanic Leadership Council, the West End YWCA, Chaffey College, and the Boys and Girls Club of America. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from U.C. Riverside and a Master’s Degree from Claremont Graduate University.
Rutherford represents the Second District of San Bernardino County, which includes Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Upland, and the Rim of the World communities. She lives in Rancho Cucamonga with her husband Steve Lim and their two sons, Ethan and Noah.
